Blue Star Ferries is member of Attica Group, one of the most significant companies in the Greek shipping industry. Its fleet consists of vessels of the latest technology and serves itineraries starting from the port of Piraeus and heading to the islands of Cyclades (Mykonos, Santorini, Paros etc) and Dodecanese (Rhodes, Kos etc).
Even though Blue Star Ferries was established in November 1992, its history starts in 1897. At that time BLUE STAR SHIPPING would transport cargo and passengers mainly in the Adriatic and Ionian Sea between Greece and Italy. Later on, from 1980 until 2000 the company developed rapidly and started bringing into action ferries both in Greece and abroad.
At the time being, Blue Star is in possession of crafts that are all new, fast and of the latest technology. Their Greek vessels are able to provide with all the facilities, and luxury their passengers could request during their trip while the services provided on board are of the highest quality.
Furthermore since year 2002, Blue Star Ferries, has become certified with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, being the first company to develop Environmental Policy in Greece. Later on the Group of Attica Ferries also became certified with ISO 9001 which constitutes recognition of the high standard of their services.
